Chris,

When you say "created a completely new album", what do you mean? And
where do you get the URL that you send out?

The URL for an album is "static" (unchanging) over the lifetime of
that album. However, the "lifetime" is tied to the .alb file in the
hidden .pixory directory for each album. The unique, random ID that is
used to identify each album is encoded in the .alb filename and is
also inside the .alb file. This means that if you delete the .pixory
directory or the .alb file, the identity of the album is lost until
pixory generates a new one, and any "old" urls (based on the original
id/.alb) will now be invalid.

So let's suppose you have an album that you want to "recreate". You
save the pictures somewhere, you delete the album folder (or all the
contents), and you make a new folder with the same name as the old one
so that the filesystem path is the same as before. Now you add back
the pictures. When Pixory encounters the album, it will generate a new
.pixory directory with a new .alb file and a new id. So the URL for
this album will be different from the original album, even though the
filesystem path is identical.

I hope this helps.

regards,

joe
