Yes, but the same thing happens with other zip utilities (e.g. IZarc).

Yes, including files with spaces in the file name (which is quite
common for non-hacker users).

The archive opens up, and you can see the file names. However, files
with non-US letters have got these letters replaced by a "plus sign"
and some gibberish (also non-US). 

If attachments had been allowed I would have sent a picture of the two
WinZip windows. If you want this picture (or the zip files), send a
