Joe,

if you are considering any "date sorting" option on the top level,
could you please also add the possibility to specify a "custom sorting
date"?

I see three top level sorting alternatives here for each album: 

* Sort after earliest date in album
* Sort after latest date in album
* Sort after custom date: YYYY-MM-DD

This would be useful for albums with a "collection" of photos. For
instance, I could create a practical joke album dated when my wife has
her birthday, placing all kinds of funny old, new, scanned etc.
pictures there. If I can only sort after first or last dates on the
picture it will not be possible to get it sorted into the right position.

Of course I could go into each picture and change the date, but I
would prefer to have the correct EXIF data shown for each picture
within the album.
