accessing Pixory from outside the firewall

I am still working to get to my Pixory server from behind my
firewall. I can reach the Apache server on the Linux box with no
problems using the IP address of the firewall/router. I have it
configured to pass HTTP traffic to the NAT addressed PC on my
network. I also opened 8081 to HTTP. At least I believe I did - it is
pretty hard to tell what you are doing when you can not test via an
outside connection. I have to drive to my studio to test the
connectivity from another network link, and then of course I am not
at the router.
I am not running Pixory in a directory under Apache. I am running it
in 'headless' mode and again, from inside the network it works fine.
All I get from outside is the darn IE "The page cannont be displayed'
message. I have tried my IP address for the server (in the form
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8081), and the longer form:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8081/pixory/pxapplication?
service=page&context=AlbumBrowser and neither works for me.
I am hoping this is just a firewall issue and I can resolve it. Is
there any other config information I should know?
BTW - I suppose I have to open the FTP ports as well for downloads -
though it is not mentioned in the config steps.
Thanks,
Cecil
