Folks,
I just downloaded the Tomcat 5.5.3 binary from the apache site. I
unzipped it, and then added in jakarta-tomcat-5.5.3-compat (binary, also
from apache site, required to run Tomcat 5.5x with a 1.4x JVM) according
to the instructions in RUNNING.txt. Then I dropped the pixory.war into
the CATALINA_HOME/webapps and started the app server. Everything worked
without any problems.
My setup is Sun SDK 1.4.2 running on Win NT 4.0.
Pixory *can* work on a *stock* (that is, binary, unmodified,
non-customized) distribution of Tomcat 5.5 running in a 1.4.2 JVM.
Please try working backwards from that setup to determine the source of
your problems.
