Hanoz, Pixory uses thumbnails (downscaled copies of your original pictures) all over the place. These thumbnails are automagically generated and cached by pixory as a low priority background activity (that can be turned off, for whatever very strange reason, on the advanced configuration page). Because of the background nature of that processing, you are never quite sure when the thumbnails for a particular album will be fully cached. So as a convenience, if you want to be sure that a particular album is fully cached ahead of time, you can use the "precache" button. You should keep in mind that caching in no way affects the correct behaviour of Pixory. If a thumbnail isn't already cached, Pixory just generates it on-demand on a page-by-page basis. So if an album isn't cached when your viewers visit, then the viewing is just a bit slower. All thumbnails are cached in the .album directory under the album folder. Those thumbnails remain in cache indefinitely. There is no size limit to the cache-- pixory is not counting ;) regards, joe --- In [email protected], "hanoz" <hanoz_catalog@h...> wrote: > > > Thanks Joe.
