Rather than heuristics that try to interpret the address bar, it's
deterministic: ``w foo'' searches Wikipedia for foo, ``g foo'' searches
Google, etc.
It's quite as quick to type, but avoids the layering violations that derive
from Mozilla's approach. (The fact that the latter fails to work with
a proxy is a consequence of its being a layering violation.)
