Rejected, sorry.
If a server is unable to follow RFC 2616 w.r.t. time formats, then it
is badly broken. In that case, what we currently do is to log the
error, then treat the object as uncachable (since it lacks a validator)
unless it provides an ETag.
What your patches do is to try to guess what the server really meant, in
hope to make the page cachable. I think that's unsafe, and that it's
better not to make pages from broken servers cachable.
