Polipo looks so simple to set up, but I'll be darned if I can do it!

Hi, I just installed polipo from the ubuntu from the ubuntu 10.10
repository today, struggled a bit trying to start it before realising
that it was already running! :) Lo and behold the config page comes up
nicely at http:/localhost:8123

But then I go into the config page and I get this:

Why are most of the options greyed out? This is problem compounded by
the fact that I can only use the proxy from localhost:8123, if I try to
use the proxy server from any other computer on my network access is denied.

Ok says I, maybe I need to configure the allowed IP's from within the
/etc/polipo/config file...
proxyAddress = "192.168.1.18"
allowedClients = 192.168.1.18, 127.0.0.1, 192.168.1.0/24
sudo /etc/init.d/polipo restart

Now the proxy is working but still looks the same in the web config :0(
What's the point in having a web config page if all the configuration
options are greyed out?

,Damon
