Polipo looks so simple to set up, but I'll be darned if I can do it!

Hi, I just installed polipo from the ubuntu from the ubuntu 10.10 repository today, struggled a bit trying to start it before realising that it was already running! :) Lo and behold the config page comes up nicely at http:/localhost:8123 But then I go into the config page and I get this: Why are most of the options greyed out? This is problem compounded by the fact that I can only use the proxy from localhost:8123, if I try to use the proxy server from any other computer on my network access is denied.
