Using HTTPS connections asks for the proxy authentication many times

I have configured Polipo to use a parent proxy as using the following variables as: parentProxy = SomeAddress:port parentAuthCredentials = "myuser:mypassw" And I have set to allow all ports as: tunnelAllowedPorts = 1-65535 But when I use this proxy for the https connection Firefox repeatedly asks for the username and password on the parent proxy.
