I don't speak for them but I can tell you Torproject
is not the maintainer/supporter of polipo. Presence
in a ports system does not imply a whole lot.
And no even remotely recent version exists on git.torproject.org,
which is where things they are interested in exist.
Debian is including old information in their package system.
You are referring to things and updates debian is doing.
And since the most recent polipo maintainer has nearly left
the building, this mailing list is currently it.
