polipo on android?

Hi,

wondering if anyone has tried it? To me it seems like it should
not be difficult - am I missing some obvious problems?

I think it would be very useful both to speed up requests that are 
cacheable and do some filtering.

Btw there is already one filtering proxy for android but at first 
glance it appears very basic compared to polipo:
