Dear All, I work with a small group of developers and recently we have ported polipo version 1.1.1 to iOS. We find that using a caching proxy on a mobile platform is quite helpful, given that polipo is able to cache resources that would otherwise have to be downloaded every time and thereby eat-up the user’s data plan. polipo has been made available in our Cydia repository at: http://cydia.was.fm/ and is in the process of being submitted to BigBoss (one of the default repositories that jailbroken devices come with). Instructions or ideas for doing various things with polipo can be found at: http://was.fm/ios/polipo including ad-blocking and getting polipo to work over the cellular network. The package includes a bundled polipo at version 1.1.1 as well as a toggle switch to turn polipo on and off from Settings.app on the iOS device. Thank you for this wonderful proxy! :-) Kind regards, Eva ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open source business process management suite built on Java and Eclipse Turn processes into business applications with Bonita BPM Community Edition Quickly connect people, data, and systems into organized workflows Winner of BOSSIE, CODIE, OW2 and Gartner awards http://p.sf.net/sfu/Bonitasoft _______________________________________________ Polipo-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/polipo-users
