socket activation?

Hi,

  There was a patch posted two years ago, implementing socket activation
in manner compatible with systemd.  The patch is here:

  Is there a chance to have it merged?  I'd be very happy to see it in polipo.
I would like contribute some systemd units, but I don't know what your stance
on it?  systemd is used by majority of Linux distributions, it's no longer
just an idea.
