    I was going to add some pipelining and to existing squid-based
    infrastructure, and I set up Polipo as recommended there:

    Then I set up polipo &amp; squid like that:

    Testing with few users shown good performance, but once I put it
    into "production", polipo started draining all CPU resources, and
    serving requests very slowly (about 2-3 per second).<br>
    <br>
    System it's been running on (and where squid-nt alone works very
    well, with about 15% average CPU load):<br>
    Windows 2003 Server, AMD Sempron 2500+, 512 MB of RAM.<br>
    There are about 30 users going through the proxy.<br>
