I am not actually sure if pound supports exactly what you are looking 
for. One alternative would be to use a virtual IP addres:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_IP_address

I have done this in my previous job and it worked very well (although it 
wasn't with pound). YMMV!
