Pound doesn't change urls.  It may only rewrite hostnames, if you request it do so. (RewriteLocation/RewriteDestination options)

It's more likely your code is trying to redirect somewhere... Like from http to https,but it never sees the https request come in. (Because pound is terminating ssl)

Many redirect loops start that way.
