I know what you're referring to; they're not codebases as such, these are simply modules that compile and install the Privoxy codebase and have no direct bearing on Privoxy's own code. My intent is to support the widest range of Macs with one installer, rather than have to create myriad installers. Since I am no fan of cruft, in a future release I'm considering bundling multiple singe-architecture binaries in the installer, detecting the target architecture and installing only the correct one. There is one (minor?) drawback to this approach however - as things stand the end user can choose whether to run in 32 or 64 bit mode on Intel since both executables are present - if I only install 64 bit if that arch is detected then that freedom of choice is lost. I'll check what it is that prevents the startup on 10.8 and let you have a new version for testing when I've corrected it.
