Thanks for the encouragement David! I'm going to go ahead and do it for myself, but I have an iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.3.3 (rather old by today's standards) and I'd not be too happy to make an 'official' release without it having at least been tested on iOS 5 and an iPhone 4, especially because the release would not be available here at Sourceforge - instead it'd be obtained directly from the package management app on the iPhone. Directing people back here for support will be challenging and I don't want lots of negative comments getting out there and for the project to get bad press. If nobody here shows interest then I'll think again about what steps to take in getting the distro out there.
