Tray icons are always visible. Sometimes I navigate to a site that I need
to turn off the filtering, but then navigate away and forget. Since you can
make the tray icon always visible, this is a good indicator. I can usually
tell when my page is full of ads that its off, which is too late. Why would
I want to navigate to the internal status page to check, I could just as
quickly right click and see that the option for "enabled" is not checked,
which means that the tray icon knows the status, however, when I disable
the tray it would be nice if the icon was red or something so it catches my
eye, and I know it is up before I download a whole bunch of junk.

Since you will use Privoxy mostly on HTTP traffic, I question the sense of
a tray icon, because you can look Privoxy's status up by http://p.p/
