From a cmd window (dos prompt, whatever it's called), what do you get for C:\>netsh winhttp show proxy I get: Current WinHTTP proxy settings: Proxy Server(s) : 127.0.0.1:8118 Bypass List : (none) What happens if you type http://p.p in the address bar?
