The lifecycle of a PyBlosxom request is in the latest PyBlosxom manual:
http://pyblosxom.sourceforge.net/1.2/manual/c712.html
It looks terrible and it's probably hard to decipher, but it is there.
I've been working on the user sections of the manual, so the
architecture/development sections haven't gotten any attention yet.
Getting there. Sorry it's a pain in the ass in the current state.
In regards to the story callback--nothing that the story callback does is
cached. The entry cache classes only cache FileEntry objects after
they've been loaded and parsed. That part isn't in the manual yet.
