Yes, it was me who added the lazy file parsing.  I haven't followed this 
thread in detail but it sounds like my change did alter this behaviour. 
  My intention with the lazy parsing was more to avoid formatting the 
date and path details for flavours in lots of different ways for every 
entry when all but num_entries worth of entries were being discarded.

BTW, great work on pyblosxom everyone!
