recent activity plugin

Hey guys,
I have written a plugin which basically returns a list of the 5 most
recent entries.
It is a hack of will's wbgrecent.py script without the time delimiter
but with a no. of posts delimiter.
I dont know how effecient this code is (I havent been very succesfull
undersanding pyblosxom fully). I have put it up at

Could someone maybe let me know if there are any optimisations i could
perform or anything else of the sort to make it run faster.
I just wanted to make sure that the code is of decent quality beofre
actually adding it to the list of plugins.
