Hello,

Based on the work started by Mark Quinn[1], I'm announcing an OpenID
comments plugin for pyblosxom[2]. This plugin works with the standard
comments plugin. It lets you restrict the users who can post comments
to those who have verified an OpenID identity URL. It also allows you
to restrict commenting to only a certain set of identities. It has the
advantages of user accounts without the adminitstrative overhead and
security risks.

OpenID is a decentralized identity system that uses control over a Web
page as a way of authenticating users. For more about OpenID, visit
