I may be thinking of git when I talk about the spooky stuff, but svn's
rename support is incomplete at best.  Both svn and git are designed for
huge trees with static layouts, rather than flexible projects that shift
and rearrange themselves.

Things to watch for are directory renames and moving files between two
different directories.
