Re: pyblosxom 1.4 status

Will, thanks for putting in the time to make this release happen.

I'm a new user of pyblosxom, as of a couple days ago. I still haven't
had a chance to read the manual, or install any plug-ins, but
installed it and began putting up some of my own starter blog posts.

Mostly, plug-in-wise, I'm just interested in being able to write my
posts using reST-formatted source text files.

Anyhow, I'm sorry I can't offer any much input on this release.
However, I can offer the following:

1. I'd like to be able to build my own current pyblosxom manual. I see
that pybloxsom 1.4 comes with that docsrc directory. I think it would
be helpful for the README to mention this directory and describe how
to build the docs in there. Looking in that directory's makefile, I
see it requires something called (or related to) "Jade". Note, I'm not
terribly familiar with docbook processing tools.

I'm on Debian Etch at the moment, and don't have any jade packages
installed (but do have xmlto). I tried building the docs, and found
that I needed an openjade command. I apt-get installed the
``openjade`` package (which also pulled in libosp5 and libostyle1c2).

Now when I run ``make``, I get what looks like the entire plain text
manual spewed to my stdout, starting with::

and then many lines down the terminal window it ends with an error message::

There's a ``manual`` directory now present in there, and it only
contains ``manual_style.css``. Any tips on getting this to work? Can
we add those tips to either the README or the INSTALL file?

2. Seems like it would be nice if there were, by default, always a
link at the top of every blog page that pointed back to the main front
blog page.

3. In the config.py file, for the py['blog_icbm'] item, might be
helpful if you mentioned something like "for GeoTagging" in there, to
give unfamiliar users something to google for.

Congratulations on getting the MS, and on preparing to get married. :)
I hope we can see a release before you get pulled away.

Incidentally, being a community project, isn't there anyone else who
can make a release if you're not available? I notice that there's 11
names in the AUTHORS file.
