hmm. i understand, but i'm not sure that warrants the added complexity 
ofswitching to json, not to mention the new simplejson dependency. you could 
easily include data in hidden form fields or other tags in the HTML.

having said that, i'm not even sure about the use case. sure, it'd be nice to 
show end users if we think their comment is spam, but i don't yet see what 
we'd do with it programmatically on the client side that would be worth the 
extra complexity.

eh, that's just me being grouchy though. feel free to send the patches and 
we'll take a look at them!
