Hi!

It's been a really long time since I've had a chance to do anything
useful in PyBlosxom land. In that time, I've done some work on
PyBlosxom 2.0 some of which is pretty solid and some of which is
experimental and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Regardless, it's taking too long and it's turning into too big an ordeal
to finish.

I want to switch gears, move trunk to experimental, copy PYBLOSXOM_1_4
(the 1.4 branch) to trunk, and start cherry picking the changes in
functional groupings. This will result in a series of smaller and
focused releases starting with PyBlosxom 1.5.

PyBlosxom 1.5 will focus on increasing the test cases, better
documentation, and installation.

PyBlosxom 1.6 will probably focus on utf-8/locale issues.

PyBlosxom 1.7 will focus on fixing callbacks and fixing data flow.

PyBlosxom 1.8 will focus on fixing issues with plugins, plugin ecology,
plugin unit testing, and all that.

I'd like to be doing one- or two-month release cycles for the course of
2009.

This change of direction doesn't throw away anything that's been done
thus far, so there shouldn't be much in the way of wasted effort.

I'll be around on #pyblosxom on freenode to talk about things. I'd love
to get some help especially in the way of building unit tests and fixing
the documentation if anyone has time.

/will
