Hello, The documentation for the Ecto section is empty, so here is my shot at it: Make sure you have the xmlrpc, xmlrpc_blogger and xmlrpc_metaweblog plugins enabled and correctly set up in your config.py. Please read the instructions on these plugins on how to do this. When setting up Ecto, use MetaWeblog for the blogs API. Fill in the authentication information and where to find the /RPC URL. Finally, make sure the system account running the webserver has write access to your data directory. That's all you need to get a basic Ecto set up running. I've been hacking the buildPostId and writePost methods of the xmlrpc_metaweblog plugin for some customization (ie, formatting filenames better and adding default meta-tags). If anyone on the list is also using Ecto, I'd love to hear about any customizing they've done with it. I hear Ecto is a really great tool and I've only started to play with it. -- Joe Topjian email: [email protected] web: http://adminspotting.net ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf
