You need to take the trackback.py from the comments plugin and rename  
it to trackback.cgi.  Make sure
that you can invoke that CGI from some URL on your weblog.    This is  
the file that you want <http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/

I'm sorry,  but I have never used Nucleus,  and I am not sure what  
you are asking.  If you want pyblosxom to automatically trackback  
ping blogs that you reference in a post, you can use the autoping  
plugin <http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/pyblosxom/pyblosxom/ 
contrib/autoping.py?rev=1.10&view=log>
