xmlrpc 404 errors

I am trying to set up pyblosxom to use Ecto (with metaweblog, blogger,  
xmlrpc plugins) but I seem to be getting 404 errors when trying to  
connect Ecto to mysite.dom/cgi-bin/pyblosxom/pyblosxom.cgi/RPC  
(whether I do it that way or through the Apache rewrites)
