yup! i made that correction in a followup to the original message.

great! glad to hear it.

are you seeing trackback spam? or comment spam? the trackback and comment
plugins both support spam filter plugins, but they're not interchangable.
comment spam filter plugins implement the cb_comment_reject callback;
trackback spam filter plugins implement the cb_trackback_reject callback. at
the moment, there's a wide variety of comment spam filter plugins, but not
many (if any) trackback spam filter plugins.

if you're looking to fight comment spam, i'll echo mako's akismet plug.
akismet is really, really effective.

i'd also suggest check_javascript, which is in svn, though not released yet.
similar to mako, i wrote it, so i'm biased, but it's very effective. i have
yet to see a spambot in the wild that includes a javascript vm. :P

akismet and check_javascript are also notable in that, unlike most of the
other options, they don't require any action on the part of the user.

finally, the pyblosxom code in svn now allows multiple spam filter plugins.
comments are only allowed if they pass each one. i'm using both akismet and
check_javascript on my site.
