Getting comments working

I've decided it's about time I had comments on my blog. I think I tried
installing them ages ago on an old version of Pyblosxom, but it didn't work
at the time. I've just tried again with the latest versions. This is what I
did:

1. Copied the comments.py plus the akismet and check-javascript files to my
plug-ins directory

2. Added comments to my config.py plugins list

3. Registered at Wordpress to get an API key and included that in my config.py

So now I have the comment fields on my posts, but the Preview and Post buttons
are not working. I don't know much about Javascript, but should there be a
function on the page for the buttons to call?

I'm sure someone can tell me what I've done wrong. I would expect to have to
set up something else for the anti-spam measures to work. Have I missed
something?

Thanks
