ajax/comment bug?

I'm using akismet along with ajax comments at http://www.grantgoodyear.org/g2blog, and I seem to have hit an odd bug. Try entering a comment that you know will trip akismet, and if you have javascript enabled you'll see a response of "Empty response from server" after hitting "Submit". Turn off javascript, and you'll see the normal akismet error message. I'm mostly ajax inept, I'm afraid, so I'm looking for help. I pulled the current plugins from SVN two days ago just to be sure it wasn't an already-fixed issue, for whatever that's worth. Also, it seems that setting "py['comment_ajax'] = False" doesn't seem to actually turn off ajax support, as far as I can tell.
