How to install the textile plugin (well, Textile itself actually)

I have decided to try the Textile plugin as Textile seems to offer a
fairly easy to use way of genrating tables.
I can install the plugin, that's easy enough, but it requires
PyTextile to be installed and that is what is confusing me.
I have downloaded textile-2.0.11.tar.gz and have unpacked it, this
gives me the files:-
PKG-INFO setup.cfg setup.py textile.egg-info textile.py
and no clue as to what to do with them. I tried:-
python setup.py
but that just produced an error:-
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "setup.py", line 7, in <module>
from setuptools import setup, find_packages
ImportError: No module named setuptools
So, what do I do? Can I just copy textile.py into my site-packages
directory?
