It's kind of funny that you quoted me earlier since as I was reading 
your email I thought that you'd have to do this in a plugin and then 
bumped into an earlier version of me thinking the same thing.

So that's two versions of me thinking you'll need to solve this with a 
plugin.  I don't know of any plugins like this and I haven't written it 
yet.  So we're at the same place we were last time unless someone else 
has done something I didn't know about.
