It's definitely a permissions problem.  Running pyblosxom.cgi from the 
command line won't tell you if you have permission problems.

Figure out what user and group account your lighttpd webserver runs as 
and make sure that that user or group has rx permissions on the entry 
directories and r permissions on the entry files.
