Hrmm... ok, I've actually still tried to get them all to  point to 
"http://reagle.org/joseph/trackback/" but 
  http://kalsey.com/tools/trackback/
still doesn't seem to like it with:

I noticed that the comment flavories I had to find, they did thing 
differently than the basic flavours... For example, some folks seem to use:
  http://example.com/blog/trackback/...
and others use
  http://example.com/trackback/...
Releasing with a suite of files that were consistent and worked out of the 
box would probably be helpful to feeble mineded folks such as myself.

In any case, I'm clearly muddled. As an aside, can comments and trackbacks 
be shown on the same page?
