I gave the updated categories plugin a try and it is working as expected.

I also tried your breadcrumbs plugin and it seems to work for me just
fine.  I'm curious why you didn't like it?

I am working on a "showmore" plugin.  I have a rough skeleton working, but
not the final details yet.  I will probably have some questions, but I
want to wait untill it's nearly done so I can get some good feedback.

One final thing.  I may have noticed another "weird" thing with paths on
Windows machines.

Say I have the following category structure.
Proj1
   SubProj1
   Subproj2
Proj2

If I go to Proj1, I see SubProj1 and SubProj2 items in the view which is
expected.  However, the category url I see for the SubProj1 only shows
www.foo.com/cgi-bin/pyblosxom.cgi//SubProj1 - it should be
www.foo.com/cgi-bin/pyblosxom.cgi/Proj1/SubProj1

it seems to be missing the Proj1 parent dir.  Another windows related issue?

Getting sick of dealing with Windows yet?  The good news is these seem to
be pretty minor tweaks to get it running on yet another platform - which
should be a "good thing."
