Not really. It's slightly less vague, but not by much. Wari fixed a problem along these lines with the filestat callback where if the pyfilenamemtime plugin wasn't being used, it wouldn't work. However, I think that was fixed a few days ago and I just checked with my blog and everything works fine both with pyfilenamemtime loaded and without.
