Hi Kai, see that you've dont some work with this. Anyway, if you were to 
look at the textile page @ http://www.textism.com/tools/textile/ you 
will see that newlines should create <br/>s, not <p>s. I guess this is a 
bug in Mark Pilgrim's part, anyone wants to give him a comment on it?

I've been wanting to do a Textism preformatter for quite a while now, 
and luckily, Mark Pilgrim beat me to it :) He would have definitely done 
it better than me.

Mark (Mark Smith that is) thanks for the heads up on this very easy to 
implement preformatter.

BTW, yeah Kai, the plugin spec for the new release is not stabilized 
yet, and one thing we are going to do is to make preformatter a plugin 
as well, so you have just one plugin interface to deal with. Your Thumbs 
generator would go into something we called a postformatter (something 
to accomodate the glossary plugin that was done as a preformatter for now).
