There is something called funcky caching, I've mentioned the technique 
at

There's a 404_handler.py program available at the contrib/ directory 
that does this for you. Please note that the one in CVS is not working 
until I fixed it.

Doing a static renderer is somewhat similar in concept, but we don't 
have it yet, at least until pyblosxom CVS is stable.
