Woah!  You're totally right.  I could adjust it to be general like
that without much effort--that'd be trippy.  Though, say I called it the
expand plugin.  Then it's a bit easier to make sure that the variable
names for the expansion template don't stomp on other variables:

   $expand_image('no_headlights')
   $expand_acroynym('doa')


That's really trippy.  What other kinds of things could this be used for?

I also really like the idea of using the first non-commented-out line as
the key--that works really nicely.  I may adjust my booklist plugin data
file in a similar fashion.
