There is a plugin in blosxom that works somewhat like pyinclude, that
picks up a predefined file in the current category directory. For
example http://blog/foo will pick up $datadir/foo/README.TXT and
http://blog/foo/bar will pickup $datadir/foo/bar/README.TXT

If the file is not available, nothing happens (or picks up the main
README.TXT in $datadir. Then you put in a $include('README.TXT')
somewhere in head.html and that's it, it displays category specific
intros (or headers, etc).

I believe, with some minimal python knowledge, you can modify the
include plugin to make it behave this way (heck, Will can do it in 10
minutes with about 3 lines of extra code :-P), and then call it by
another name as include does sound a bit too simple for the prizes you
can get out of this :)

I'll see what Will have to say about this.
