I can confirm this is the case. So this page:
  http://wiki.subtlehints.net/moin/InstallingComments
is presently schizophrenic. Talking about the module at the top, but 
trackback.cgi at the bottom. I've updated the examples in the Wiki to try 
to reconcile the two.

Even so, unfortunately, it still doesn't work for me. If I go to 

  http://reagle.org/joseph/blog/trackback/technology/python/pyblosxom-1.0-upgrade

in my browser the pyblsoxom log shows:

  2004-05-29 15:25:06,994 INFO not trackback

but if I give it parameters via autoping.py, or this site:
  http://www.aylwardfamily.com/content/tbping.asp
I don't get anything in the log (not even the comment error of INFO Couldn't 
open latest comment pickle for writing) nor anything on the website.
