The color problems seem to be because you have style attributes on the
blosxomComments and blosxomCommentForm divs

The reason that the comment form doesn't show up on the posts for 8/4 
is that
there are 3 posts for that day and the comment form only shows up when 
there is
a single post.  You can't rely on the permalink to take you to the 
comments, you need
to use something that references the article directly, usually a 
combination of the
category and the post name.
