I use the .txt entry parser for all my stuff.  So I'm not sure if this is
true of other entry parsers, but I think that Wari changed the moinmoin
one as well.

Between the title and the body of text entries, you can add lines in this
form:

#name value

That becomes metadata.  I use this in the registry plugin.  For example,
that draft plugin you wrote--the entry file for that is this:

#author David Ascher
This plugin lets you work on postings in a 'draft'
mode where only you (or people with the secret password)
get to see them.  When you're happy with the post, you
rename it and it goes live.
%<-----------------------------------

"draft" is the title line.  The three lines that start with # after the
title line are metadata lines and populate $url, $download, and $author.
After that is the body of the entry.
