I'm serious, too. Most project don't have a marketing person to hone the
public statements of the project and get the message out about what how
the project can help the average joe.

So while it might be important to build the marketing speak blurbs about a
project that define the project in terms of various audiences, I would
never say that's the most important part of a small to mid-sized open
source project.

Still, if you want to tackle marketing, that's cool. I would think the
first step would be to get in touch with Wari who's still running the main
site though you might want to do some of it in the wiki.
