You're right.  The default entryparser doesn't modify existing files.  In 
fact, entryprasers don't operate on files at all.  I didn't realize from 
your email that you were looking for the ability to read and write files. 
Currently entryparsers only parse entry data--they don't create entry data 
and they don't operate on files.

Someone else mentioned using email as a entry format.  I don't know if 
they got around to building an entryparser for that or not.
